Defrag your hard drives
In order to optimize your computer you need to take some optimization steps such as optimizing your computer hard drives. Tap or click on Search and type Defragment in the search box. From the results, select Defragment and optimize your hard drives one by one.
Analyze and Optimize
First check the drive you want to optimize by observing the Status. After selecting the hard drive, click or tap on Analyze. This will make sure if the drive need to be optimized. The status window will show if the current drive needs optimizing. If you find that the current drive is only 10 percent fragmented, you should optimize the drive by clicking Optimize button.
Change the schedule
You can change the optimization schedule by clicking the “Change Settings”. In order to turn off a scheduled optimization, remove the tick “Run on a schedule”. Removing the scheduled optimization means you need to optimize manually.
Set the scheduled time
If you are selecting a scheduled optimization, you need to decide the frequency. Besides Frequency option, you will find a box with options such as daily, weekly and monthly. After choosing the frequency, you need to choose the drives you want to optimize during the scheduled optimization. After selecting the drives, click on OK to complete the scheduling of optimization process.
